If there was one movie I am absolutely dying to watch it is 500 Days of Summer, starring Joseph Gordon Levitt and the ageless Zooey Deschanel. It is about a boy who falls in love with a girl, but the girl does not feel the same way. Equipped with a killer soundtrack and Zooey’s signature retro-infused attire, this is probably the love story that many other people can completely relate to.

I’ve never been much of a lingerie girl. ‘Sexy’ was never a part of my physical vocabulary and the thought of a tiny thong riding up my derriere makes me cringe. Yes, I could appreciate the beautiful female form accentuated by Agent Provocateur, but since I don’t measure a 34-24-34, the idea of me frolicking on my bed in lace and leather is akin to comedy (as opposed to kinky). But then comes the new lingerie line by New Zealand’s Lonely Hearts Club simply named ‘Lonely’; a delicate array of soft neutral tones emphasized by subtle lace and quiet frills. It is simple, beautiful and fresh- just what a girl needs to wake up in, fall asleep to and play with sans uncomfortable derrieres.

So sue me. I have never given New York band Ratatat a chance. There is an album or two sitting quietly in my Itunes with a playcount ranging from 1-2. However many friends of mine beg to differ, going as far to say that their live performances are like tiny explosions of the mind (Speaking of Explosions, their live performances are intense!). Ratatat is playing in Kuala Lumpur this Thursday at Zouk and tickets are RM75 a pop, and I’m still deciding if I should take a chance on an unknown kid.

Have you heard of I’m Boy Crazy? This blog chronicles the overall dating experience written from the perspective of a 20-something Alexi Wasser. From interviews with cute boys and insights on relationships to the controversial topic of crime scene sex, Alexi provides an honest and consistently hillarious take on everything you wanted to know about boys. What makes Alexi so interesting is that her witty and sometimes graphic paragraphs about dating, experimenting and heart-breaking is something that I, as another fellow 20-something, can completely relate to.
